for garnishsesame seeds and additional green onions
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, and the egg. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to add some heat.
Form the mixture into meatballs, about the size of a golf ball, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, and honey until well combined.
Brush half of the teriyaki sauce mixture over the meatballs to coat them lightly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned. An internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is recommended.
Remove the meatballs from the oven, and drizzle the remaining teriyaki sauce mixture over the top, allowing them to soak up the flavor.
Garnish with sesame seeds and additional chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
Serve with steamed rice and vegetables for a complete meal.
