Ingredients
1
large head
cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
1/2
cup
all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
1/2
cup
water
1
teaspoon
garlic powder
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1/4
teaspoon
black pepper
1/4
cup
sweet chili sauce
2
tablespoons
soy sauce
2
cloves
garlic, minced
1
tablespoon
sesame oil
1
tablespoon
chopped green onions (for garnish)
to taste
sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add water to create a smooth batter.
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it is evenly coated. Place the coated florets on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake the cauliflower bites for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
In a small saucepan, combine the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Heat over medium heat until warm, stirring to combine.
Once the cauliflower bites are baked, remove them from the oven and toss them in the chili garlic sauce until fully coated.
Return the coated cauliflower bites to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes to allow the sauce to caramelize slightly.
Remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve on a platter with extra sauce and garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
