1unitsliced tomatoes, red onions, and lettuce for serving (optional)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties to the skillet.
Cook the patties for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
Meanwhile, toast the whole wheat burger buns in the toaster or on a separate skillet until golden brown.
Once cooked, assemble the burgers by placing each turkey patty on a bun and adding your choice of sliced tomatoes, red onions, and lettuce.
Notes
Serve with your choice of toppings for added flavor.
