Instructions
Cook the jasmine rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, set aside to cool.
In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic to create the honey garlic sauce. Set aside.
In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Add the chopped onion and diced carrots to the skillet, sautéing for about 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent and the carrots are tender.
Add the shrimp to the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
Push the shrimp and vegetables to the side of the skillet, then add the cooked rice to the center.
Drizzle the honey garlic sauce over the rice, and mix everything together, ensuring the rice is evenly coated.
Stir in the peas and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. If desired, drizzle sesame oil over the top for added flavor.
Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
Remove from heat, serve in bowls, and garnish with sliced green onions on top.
Notes
Serve in a large bowl or individual dishes, garnished with green onions or sesame seeds.
