In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and grated ginger. Stir well and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly; then remove from heat.
Preheat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
Carefully place the salmon fillets in the hot skillet, skin side down. Sear for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and the salmon is fork-tender.
Flip the fillets and pour half of the honey garlic sauce over them. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and the sauce is caramelized.
Remove from heat and drizzle the remaining sauce over the salmon fillets.
Transfer the glazed salmon to a serving platter and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for an added crunch and flavor.
