optionalchocolate shavings or sprinkles for garnish
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream with an electric mixer on medium speed until it starts to thicken.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the whipped cream and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Slowly add the milk to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until there are no lumps.
Gently fold one-third of the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until thoroughly combined. Then fold in the remaining whipped cream until well-blended.
In a rectangular baking dish (9x13 inches), begin assembling your icebox cake. Start with a layer of cookies: dip half of the crushed Oreo cookies into milk for a few seconds, then layer them on the bottom of the dish.
Spread half of the whipped cream mixture over the layer of cookies, smoothing it out evenly.
Repeat the process with another layer of dipped cookies, followed by the remaining whipped cream mixture.
Top the cake with the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and any extra Oreo pieces.
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight to allow the flavors to meld together.
Before serving, garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles if desired.
